To maintain and extend the service life of European wire rope electric hoists, systematic management is required from seven aspects: daily cleaning, regular lubrication, comprehensive inspection, standardized operation, rust prevention treatment, special maintenance of wire ropes, and adjustment of braking systems. Specific measures are as follows:

1、 Daily cleaning

Surface cleaning: Use a clean cloth or brush to remove dust and dirt from the surface of the electric hoist, preventing the accumulation of dust and dirt from affecting equipment heat dissipation and component operation.

Deep cleaning: Regularly use specialized cleaning agents or soapy water to clean the surface of the electric hoist, but be careful to avoid water seeping into the interior of the equipment to avoid damaging electrical components.

Drying treatment: After cleaning, use a clean cloth or tissue to dry the surface of the electric hoist to ensure that the equipment is dry and prevent rusting.

2、 Regular lubrication

Lubrication of key parts: Use specialized lubricating oil or grease to lubricate the key parts of the electric hoist, such as gears, bearings, etc., to reduce wear and friction and ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

Lubrication control: Be careful not to apply excessive lubricant to avoid waste and pollution, while also avoiding excessive adsorption of dust and dirt by the lubricant.

Cleaning after lubrication: After lubrication, use a clean cloth or tissue to wipe the surface and lubricated parts of the electric hoist to keep the equipment clean.

3、 Comprehensive inspection

Wire rope inspection: Regularly check whether the wire rope is broken, deformed, etc. Once found, it should be replaced in a timely manner to prevent equipment damage or personnel injury caused by wire rope breakage.

Loose component inspection: Check whether the gears, bearings, and other components of the electric hoist are damaged or loose. If so, tighten or replace them in a timely manner to ensure stable operation of the equipment.

Brake inspection: Check whether the brake is working properly, whether it can reliably maintain the position of the goods unchanged, and prevent equipment from losing control due to brake failure.

Control box inspection: Check whether the control box is working properly, whether the switches, buttons, etc. are sensitive and reliable, and ensure the safety of equipment operation.

4、 Standardized operation

Adhere to operating procedures: Strictly follow the operating procedures of the electric hoist, strictly prohibit illegal operations such as diagonal pulling and lifting, overloading, etc., to prevent equipment damage caused by improper operation.

Special person operation: The electric hoist should be operated by a dedicated person, and the operator should fully understand the safety operating procedures to ensure the safety of equipment operation.

Avoid suspension: When the electric hoist is not working, it is not allowed to suspend heavy objects in the air to prevent permanent deformation of parts and affect the service life of the equipment.

5、 Rust prevention treatment

Exposed surface rust prevention: Apply calcium based rust prevention grease or other rust prevention grease to the exposed surfaces and threaded surfaces of the electric hoist that have been processed and are prone to corrosion to prevent rusting.

Gearbox rust prevention: The surface of the gear accessories in the electric hoist gearbox is coated with rust proof grease containing barium petroleum sulfonate, and the construction and protection of the oil film integrity are regularly inspected. If rust is found, use hardwood or bamboo slices to scrape off the rust spots and reapply oil.

Anti rust of hook bearings: Inject calcium based anti rust lubricating grease into the bearings of the hook to prevent rust, and regularly check the anti rust effect to achieve the effect of prolonging use.

6、 Special maintenance of steel wire rope

Galvanizing steel wire rope: Galvanizing steel wire rope is equivalent to adding a protective film to the steel wire rope, which can make the steel wire rope more corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and heat-resistant, effectively extending the service life of the steel wire rope.

Lubrication of steel wire rope: Regularly lubricate the steel wire rope of the electric hoist. There are usually rope cores inside the steel wire rope. When these rope cores are immersed in lubricating oil, they can provide good lubrication and protection, reducing the erosion of the steel wire rope.

Scrap standard for steel wire rope: The inspection and scrap of steel wire rope shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T5972-1986 "Practical Specification for Inspection and Scrap of Steel Wire Rope for Lifting Machinery". Once the scrap standard is reached, it shall be replaced in a timely manner.

7、 Brake system adjustment

Adjustment of brake sliding amount: When adjusting the brake sliding amount of the electric hoist, it should be ensured that under rated load, the brake sliding amount S ≤ V/100 (V is the stable lifting distance within one minute under load), to ensure reliable braking.

Brake maintenance: Regularly check the working condition of the brake. If excessive wear or reduced braking force is found, adjust the brake bolts or replace the brake ring in a timely manner to ensure the normal operation of the brake.
