How to maintain to extend the service life of the running electric hoist

To extend the service life of electric hoists in operation, comprehensive measures need to be implemented from four aspects: daily maintenance, regular inspection, operation standards, and environmental management. The specific measures are as follows:

1、 Daily maintenance: cleaning and lubrication

Cleaning and maintenance

Surface cleaning: Use a clean cloth or brush to remove dust and oil stains from the surface of the equipment, avoiding the residue of corrosive substances.

Deep cleaning: Regularly clean the casing with specialized cleaning agents or soapy water, but prevent water from seeping into the internal electrical components.

Drying treatment: After operation, move the equipment away from damp, high-temperature, or chemical areas to keep the parts dry and prevent rusting.

Lubrication management

Lubrication of key parts: Use specialized lubricating oil or rust proof grease for gears, bearings, wire ropes, and other parts. For example:

Apply rust proof lubricating oil on the surface of the steel wire rope, and wrap it with tarpaulin or plastic film when not in operation;

Inject calcium based anti rust lubricating grease into the hook bearing and regularly check the anti rust effect;

Apply rust proof grease containing barium petroleum sulfonate on the surface of the gears inside the gearbox, and regularly check the integrity of the oil film.

Lubrication cycle: The oil in the gearbox of the electric chain hoist needs to be checked after 500 hours of operation, and regularly checked every three months thereafter. If it is insufficient, it should be replenished.

2、 Regular maintenance: component inspection and replacement

Monthly inspection

Limiting device: Test the sensitivity of the up and down limiters to ensure that the equipment stops immediately after triggering.

Wire rope: Check whether the rope end is firmly fixed and whether there is a risk of loosening; If the number of broken wires exceeds the GB/T5972 standard, they must be replaced immediately.

Motor temperature rise: Monitor the temperature during operation to ensure it does not exceed 40 ℃ of the ambient temperature, in order to avoid overloading and burning out.

Quarterly maintenance

Reducer: Disassemble and clean the internal oil stains, supplement or replace lubricating oil that meets the requirements of the manual; Check the wear of gears and bearings, and replace them if there is pitting or peeling on the tooth surface.

Pulley component: Check the degree of wear and replace the pulley when it exceeds the limit.

Annual maintenance

Electrical system: Replace aging cables and contactor contacts to ensure reliable electrical connections; Test the grounding resistance (should be ≤ 4 Ω) to avoid the risk of leakage.

Metal structure: Conduct non-destructive testing on hooks, pulley shafts, key welds, etc., and perform anti-corrosion treatment if necessary.

3、 Operation Specification: Safety and Load Management

Load limit

Strictly adhere to the rated lifting capacity and prohibit overloading (including illegal operations such as diagonal pulling, lifting, pulling, burying, etc.).

Ensure the load is stable during lifting, avoid shaking or twisting, and prevent uneven stress on the steel wire rope from causing breakage.

operating procedure

Before lifting: Confirm that the lifting point is reliable and the lifting signal is clear; First, perform a "jog" test lift, pause when the load is 10-20cm off the ground, check the balance status, and then lift formally.

During operation: Maintain a safe distance from obstacles, prohibit emergency stop and start, and avoid equipment impact overload.

After shutdown: Cut off the main power switch, prohibit heavy objects from hanging in the air, and prevent permanent deformation of parts.

Environmental Requirements

Work is prohibited in rainy, snowy, and strong wind (wind force ≥ 6) weather; Insulation inspection needs to be strengthened in high temperature and humid environments.

After working in dusty and corrosive environments, clean the equipment surface in a timely manner to prevent component corrosion.

4、 Environmental Management: Rust Prevention and Protection

Apply calcium based rust proof grease or other rust inhibitors to the exposed and threaded surfaces that have been processed.

If rust is found, use hardwood or bamboo slices to scrape off the rust spots and reapply oil; If the crude oil film is damaged or deteriorated, it needs to be cleaned with kerosene or gasoline before applying anti rust grease.

Long term disuse maintenance

When not in use for a long time, perform rust prevention treatment and cleaning maintenance, and run up and down for 1-3 minutes to maintain performance.

When used outdoors, install rainproof facilities to prevent equipment from getting damp.
