1、 Operating standards

Overloading and diagonal pulling are prohibited:

Strictly adhere to the rated lifting capacity of the equipment and prohibit overloading. Overloading can cause wire rope breakage, motor overload, and even structural deformation.

Avoid diagonal or horizontal dragging of heavy objects to prevent the steel wire rope from falling out of the groove or the equipment from tipping over. European style electric hoists are usually designed for vertical lifting, and diagonal pulling can disrupt mechanical balance.

Usage of limit device:

The limit devices for ascending and descending limits must be sensitive and reliable, and it is prohibited to use limit devices as a conventional means of parking. The limiter is the last line of defense for safety, and frequent impacts can cause it to fail.

During operation, a safe distance should be reserved to prevent the hook from forcefully continuing to move after touching the limiter.

Multi step operation process:

Before lifting, confirm that the hook is firmly connected to the heavy object to avoid detachment during the lifting process.

Maintain a constant speed during operation to avoid sudden stops or starts that may cause heavy objects to shake or the steel wire rope to loosen.

Control the speed during descent to prevent heavy objects from falling freely and impacting the ground or equipment.

2、 Security protection

Personal protective equipment:

Operators must wear protective equipment such as safety helmets, anti slip shoes, gloves, etc. to prevent heavy objects from falling or steel wire ropes from rebounding and injuring people.

When working in high temperature, corrosive environments, or at night, it is necessary to increase protective clothing, goggles, and other equipment.

Equipment safety device:

Regularly check overload protection devices (such as load limiters) to ensure that they can automatically cut off power when overloaded.

Confirm that the rope guide device is working properly to prevent the steel wire rope from being tangled or dislodged. When the wear of the rope guide exceeds the standard, it needs to be replaced immediately.

Check if the brake is sensitive and reliable, and replace the brake pads if they wear out more than 50%.

On site safety measures:

Set up a cordon in the work area to prohibit unrelated personnel from entering.

It is strictly prohibited to stand below the lifting path to prevent heavy objects from falling and injuring people.

When used in flammable and explosive places, explosion-proof electric hoists should be selected and fire extinguishing equipment should be equipped.

3、 Equipment maintenance

Daily inspection:

Before each use, check whether the steel wire rope has broken wires, wear or rust. If the wear exceeds 7% of the diameter, it needs to be replaced.

Check whether the hook has cracks or deformations, and whether the rotating parts are flexible.

Confirm if the electrical connections are loose and if the insulation is good.

Regular maintenance:

Lubricate the gearbox, bearings and other components monthly, using lubricating grease that meets European standards.

Check the brake clearance quarterly and adjust it to the specified range (usually 0.8-1.5mm).

Perform insulation testing on the motor annually, with a resistance value of no less than 0.5M Ω.

Steel wire ropes, brake pads, rope guides and other vulnerable parts need to be replaced regularly according to the instructions to avoid accidents caused by wear and tear.

4、 Environmental adaptation

Temperature and humidity control:

European style electric hoists are usually suitable for environments ranging from -25 ℃ to 40 ℃. If the temperature exceeds this range, insulation or cooling measures should be taken.

When the relative humidity exceeds 85%, it is necessary to strengthen the moisture-proof treatment of electrical components to prevent short circuits.

Protection against corrosive environments:

When used in corrosive environments such as chemical and coastal areas, stainless steel or galvanized steel wire ropes should be selected, and the equipment surface should be cleaned regularly.

The motor and electrical box need to increase their protection level (such as IP55 or above) to prevent salt spray or chemical erosion.

Dust and Cleaning:

When used in places with high levels of dust, it is necessary to install dust covers or regularly clean the dust inside the equipment to prevent electrical failures.

Avoid using corrosive solvents during cleaning to prevent damage to the surface coating.

5、 Personnel management

Professional training:

Operators need to receive professional training, familiarize themselves with equipment performance, operating procedures, and emergency response measures.

The training content should include relevant requirements of European standards (such as FEM, DIN) to ensure that the operation complies with international norms.

Certified for employment:

Operators need to hold certificates to work, and their certificates need to be reviewed regularly to ensure that their skills and knowledge are updated.
