When using a European style wire rope electric hoist for lifting operations, the following standard steps should be followed to ensure safe and efficient operation:
1、 Preparation before operation
Equipment inspection
Before connecting the power supply, check if the electrical system (such as power cords, plugs, and grounding) is functioning properly to ensure there is no risk of damage or leakage.
Check for wear, breakage, or deformation of mechanical components such as wire ropes, hooks, drums, and brakes. The wire ropes should be arranged neatly without knots or entanglements.
Confirm that safety devices (such as limiters and overload protectors) are sensitive and reliable, and that the brake pads are free of harmful substances such as asbestos.
Check that the operation buttons, remote control or control box are functioning properly, and that the button actions are accurate and not stuck.
Environment and load confirmation
Clean up the work area to ensure there are no obstacles, personnel, or flammable and explosive materials.
Confirm that the load weight does not exceed the rated lifting capacity of the electric hoist, the binding is firm, and the lifting point is located directly above the center of gravity of the load to avoid overloading or diagonal pulling.
Check whether the I-beam track or suspension beam can bear the estimated impact load, and ensure reliable installation without looseness.
Personnel and Protection
Operators need to receive professional training, hold certificates, and be familiar with equipment performance and emergency measures.
Wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, anti slip shoes, protective gloves, and use seat belts if necessary.
2、 Operation steps
no-load test
After connecting the power supply, perform a no-load operation test first:
Press the 'Lift' button and observe if the hook rises smoothly without any abnormal noise or vibration.
Press the "down" button to check if the brake is sensitive and if the hook can stop reliably.
Test the left and right travel function (if equipped with a small car) to confirm smooth and unobstructed operation.
Load lifting
Lower the hook: Press the "Lower" button to lower the hook to the appropriate height (about 0.5 meters above the ground).
Mounting load: securely hang the tied load wire rope buckle in the hook to ensure no risk of slipping.
Lifting load:
Press the 'Lift' button to gradually tension the steel wire rope and observe if the load is balanced.
After confirming that there are no abnormalities, continuously press the "lifting" button to lift the load to the target height.
Maintain load stability during movement and avoid shaking or colliding with surrounding objects.
Localization and uninstallation:
Move the load above the designated position and slowly lower it to the contact surface.
After confirming that the load is placed steadily, untie the tied steel wire rope and complete the unloading.
Closing after operation
Raise the hook to a safe height of at least 2 meters above the ground to avoid contact by ground personnel.
Turn off the power, lock the control box, and prevent unauthorized operation.
Clean the dust on the surface of the equipment and check if the components are loose or damaged.
3、 Safety precautions
Prohibited acts
Overloading, diagonal pulling, frequent starting, or using as a dragging tool are strictly prohibited.
Do not leave the operating position when the load is suspended, or hang the load in the air for a long time.
Do not use in harsh weather conditions such as rainy, foggy, snowy, or flammable environments.
Unauthorized disassembly, modification of equipment, or use of non original accessories are prohibited.
emergency response
In case of abnormal noise, vibration, brake failure, etc. during operation, immediately press the "emergency stop" button, cut off the power and report to the maintenance personnel.
When the load drops or the equipment malfunctions, remain calm, quickly evacuate the dangerous area, and activate the emergency plan.
Maintenance and Care
Daily inspection: Check key components such as wire ropes, hooks, and brakes before daily homework.
Regular maintenance:
Clean the electrical part weekly and lubricate the motor, reducer, and wire rope monthly.
Check the gear meshing condition quarterly and conduct a comprehensive inspection by professional personnel every year.
Recording and archiving: Detailed records of equipment inspection, maintenance, faults, and repairs, and establishment of archives for future reference.
