The operation of manual hydraulic forklifts must follow strict procedures and safety regulations. The following are specific operating procedures and precautions:
1、 Pre operation safety check
Hydraulic system inspection
Confirm that there is no leakage in the hydraulic cylinder, and that the hydraulic oil level and quality are normal. If necessary, replenish or replace the hydraulic oil.
Check the working status of hydraulic pumps and valves to ensure no oil leakage or abnormal noise, and regularly lubricate moving parts.
Wheel and support system inspection
Confirm that the wheels rotate flexibly, without any jamming or foreign object entanglement, and clean up the entanglement in a timely manner.
Check the wear of the wheel axle and support frame, regularly lubricate the bearings to reduce wear.
Forklift structure inspection
Check the integrity of the fork frame and fork arm, repair or replace damaged parts.
Confirm the symmetry and straightness of the fork to avoid operational risks caused by deformation.
Inspection of operating devices
Test the flexibility of the handle to ensure no jamming or malfunction.
Check the smoothness of valve and operating rod movements, and regularly lubricate the valve.
2、 Operation steps
Suppressing (lifting goods)
Place the control handle in the lower position, press the directional control lever, and activate the pressure mechanism.
Key point: Ensure that the weight of the goods does not exceed the forklift weight limit (usually indicated on the forklift nameplate), and avoid overloading that may cause damage or tipping of the hydraulic system.
Transporting goods (moving goods)
After the goods leave the ground, adjust the control handle to the center position and enter drag mode.
Operation requirements:
Drive slowly, do not run or accelerate rapidly, maintain a speed of ≤ 3 kilometers per hour (the normal walking speed for adults is 5 kilometers per hour).
Reduce speed when turning to avoid the goods being thrown out or the forklift overturning.
Goods should be placed as close to the centerline of the forklift as possible to maintain balance and avoid overloading.
Unloading (placing goods)
After arriving at the destination, adjust the control handle to the upper position and gradually release the pressure to ensure that the goods land smoothly.
Attention: It is forbidden to suddenly release pressure to prevent goods from falling and damaging or injuring personnel.
Empty vehicle operation
When the forklift is empty, press and lift it appropriately to avoid wear and tear on the front axle support frame from contact with the ground.
When unloaded, the fork should be lowered to the lowest position to reduce the height of the center of gravity and improve stability.
3、 Safety precautions
Single person operation principle
Only one person is allowed to operate, and when multiple people collaborate, a designated person in charge must be designated to provide unified command to ensure coordinated actions.
Prohibit dangerous behavior
No high-altitude throwing: It is strictly prohibited to throw goods directly onto forklifts from a height.
Prohibit static overloading: After overloading, do not let it sit for a long time to prevent damage to the hydraulic system due to excessive pressure.
No manned sliding: Forklifts are strictly prohibited from carrying people or freely sliding down slopes.
Prohibition of single fork operation: Double forks must be used to carry goods and ensure balance.
Environmental and channel requirements
Avoid using on muddy, uneven, or sloping ground to prevent tipping over.
Plan reasonable passages, reduce forklift travel distance, and avoid narrow passage operations.
Sight and body protection
Clear vision during operation, stop working immediately if obstructed.
It is strictly prohibited to place any part of the body under the fork, near mechanical lifting components, or on the loaded goods.
Goods fixation and support
When loading loose or unstable goods, personnel should be arranged to support and prevent slipping.
When handling high objects at a low position, the forks should be placed as low as possible to reduce the risk of falling.
4、 Daily maintenance and upkeep
Lubrication and Cleaning
Regularly lubricate the wheel axle, sealing ring, and roller bearing to reduce friction.
Clean the wheels and support system to prevent foreign objects from getting tangled.
component replacement
Timely replace worn wheels, damaged forks or deformed fork arms to ensure structural safety.
Regular maintenance
Operators conduct daily inspections, and department managers regularly arrange professional maintenance to ensure good vehicle performance.
Damage handling
Damaged forklifts must be repaired or scrapped immediately, and it is strictly prohibited to operate them with defects.
