The installation precautions for hand cranked hoists (chain hoists/hand cranked hoists) have four core characteristics: systematicity, safety, standardization, and scene adaptability, which are manifested in the following dimensions:
1. Strict pre equipment inspection and maintenance standards
Component integrity verification: Key components such as hooks, chains, gears, and brakes need to be checked before use. For example, it is strictly prohibited to use when the wear of the chain diameter exceeds 15% or when the chain links break or deform; When the wear of the hook exceeds 10% or there are cracks, it must be replaced; The brake needs to ensure that the pawl and ratchet engage flexibly, and the friction plate is free of oil pollution.
Lubrication and cleaning of transmission system: Moving parts such as gears and bearings need to be regularly lubricated with lubricating oil (such as butter), but it is necessary to avoid lubricating oil from seeping into the brake friction pads or ratchet mechanism to prevent brake failure. When the equipment is idle, it should be wiped clean of dirt and stored in a dry environment to prevent rusting.
2. Rigorous installation environment and structural requirements
Strength verification of load-bearing structure: The framework of the suspended hoist (such as steel beams and tracks) needs to undergo strength verification, and the load-bearing capacity must be ≥ 1.5 times the rated lifting capacity of the hoist. The track installation requires ensuring that the straightness deviation of the I-beam is ≤ 5mm/10m, the height difference of the joint is ≤ 1mm, and rubber buffers (compression capacity ≤ 1/3) and anti slip blocks are installed.
Space and protection requirements: The installation area should be cleared of obstacles, with a reserved operating space of ≥ 1.5m and a lighting brightness of ≥ 200lux. Explosion proof hoists should be selected and equipped with leakage protection devices in damp, dusty, or flammable and explosive environments.
3. Standardized operating procedures and safety guidelines
Operation direction and force control: The zipper direction should be in the same plane as the sprocket to avoid diagonal pulling or chain jamming. Overloading is strictly prohibited. Gourds weighing less than 5 tons must be operated by one person, while those weighing more than 5 tons require the cooperation of two people. It is forbidden to add people to forcefully pull or forcefully pull the chain.
Heavy object fixation and anti fall measures: When lifting heavy objects, they should be securely tied and the hook should be located directly above the center of gravity of the object. When heavy objects are suspended in the air, the bracelet should be tied to the lifting chain and a safety rope should be added to prevent self-locking failure and falling.
4. Debugging and monitoring of critical safety devices
Calibration of limiters and brakes: The up/down limit switch needs to be adjusted to trigger when the remaining rope of the hook is ≥ 3 turns or the distance from the bottom to the obstacle is ≥ 0.5m. The brake should self brake under load, and the brake pads should be replaced immediately if they wear out 30% or crack.
Safety device and anti fall device: When working at height (such as lifting a basket), an additional safety device of the same tonnage is required. When the hoist fails or the load suddenly slides down, the safety device needs to be clamped tightly with a steel wire rope to prevent falling.
5. Customization requirements for special scenarios
Hygiene and weather resistance standards: Food factories need to use 304 stainless steel gourds, combined with food grade lubricants; Cold chain environment requires the use of low-temperature resistant grease (stable braking at -30 ℃); Galvanized chains or IP54 protective enclosures should be used for outdoor operations to resist corrosion and impact.
Power adaptability: The electric hoist needs to verify that the supply voltage, frequency, and equipment parameters are consistent, and the cable cross-section needs to meet the current load (such as 380V/10A motors requiring ≥ 2.5mm ² copper core wire).
6. Professional training and operational qualifications
Operator qualification: Professional training is required to be familiar with equipment performance, operating standards, and emergency response procedures. Non professionals are prohibited from operating, and when multiple people collaborate, they must be directed by a dedicated person with coordinated actions.
Regular maintenance and testing: Personnel familiar with the equipment structure are required to conduct regular maintenance (such as cleaning parts, replacing worn parts), and carry out no-load, static load (125% rated load), and dynamic load (110% rated load) tests to ensure smooth operation of the equipment without abnormal noise or deformation.
7. Acceptance and archive management
Acceptance criteria: After installation is completed, an "Installation and Debugging Report" must be issued, including equipment parameters, installation data, debugging records, and third-party testing reports (such as load-bearing structures, electrical safety, and load capacity testing).
Archive retention: Installation drawings, instructions, inspection reports, and other materials need to be archived to ensure traceability throughout the entire lifecycle of the equipment.
