1、 Power source and gas source management

Compressed air quality

Cleanliness: The particle size in the air should be less than 40 μ m, and the particle count should be less than 5 grams per cubic meter to prevent impurities from entering the pneumatic system and causing wear or failure.

Drying degree: Before use, it is necessary to pass through coarse and fine filtration devices to ensure that the compressed air is dry and prevent moisture from corroding internal parts.

Supply air volume: The diameter of the intake pipe should not be less than DN20, and it should be one size larger than the exhaust pipe to ensure sufficient air supply.

Regular maintenance: Clean the filtering device and air ducts monthly, seal and protect them before entering the well, and blow them clean with air pressure after entering the well.

Air source pressure control

Work pressure: usually 0.4-0.6MPa (such as the requirement of 6kgf/cm ² for Korean KHC pneumatic hoists), which needs to be monitored and adjusted in real time through a pressure gauge.

Stable air pressure: Avoid air pressure fluctuations that may cause the hoist to stall or the braking system to fail.

2、 Installation and hanging specifications

Hanging point strength

Select the number of hanging points and anchor cable specifications based on the rated load of the gourd:

6-ton gourd: no less than 2 anchor cables;

10 ton gourd: no less than 4 anchor cables;

20 ton gourd: no less than 6 anchor cables.

The hanging point needs to strengthen the roof support to ensure that the lifting safety requirements are met.

Installation environment inspection

Space requirements: The operating location should be spacious and tidy, with no obstacles or hazards.

Ground conditions: Ensure that the ground is level and prevent the hoist from tilting or shaking during operation.

Accessory integrity check

Before installation, it is necessary to confirm that all parts are complete and undamaged, including hooks, chains, control handles, etc.

Connecting pipeline: Use a connecting pipeline with a specified inner diameter (such as 20mm), with a length not exceeding 20m; if a longer pipeline is required, the inner diameter needs to be increased by one level.

3、 Operating standards and safety precautions

Operator Qualification

Operators need to undergo professional training and be familiar with the working principle, internal structure, and safety operating procedures of gourds.

Untrained personnel are prohibited from operating the equipment.

Load management

Overloading lifting is strictly prohibited: do not exceed the rated load of the hoist to avoid chain breakage or structural damage.

Do not lift stuck heavy objects or uncontrollable equipment (such as hydraulic cylinders, falling objects).

Load balancing: When using multiple hoists to lift the same object, it is necessary to ensure that the load is evenly distributed to prevent overload.

Running status monitoring

Stable lifting: When lifting, dragging, and lowering objects, it is necessary to maintain their stability and avoid tipping or falling.

Prohibit handling problems during operation: In case of any malfunction during the lifting process, the operation must be stopped and the gas source cut off before handling.

Avoid extreme positions: Do not run the chain to the terminal position to prevent the chain from disconnecting or being damaged.

Explosion proof special requirements

Material selection: The explosion-proof workshop requires the use of special materials for the body and hooks (such as copper alloy) to avoid sparks caused by collisions.

Gas use: It is strictly prohibited to use flammable gases such as oxygen, hydrogen, acetylene gas as power sources to prevent explosion risks.

Explosion proof certification: Ensure that the gourd has passed the explosion-proof certification and meets the requirements for use in flammable and explosive places such as chemical and paint workshops.

4、 Maintenance and upkeep

Daily inspection

Chain status: Check whether the chain is damaged, worn, rusted, bent or elongated, and replace the unqualified chain in a timely manner.

Hook inspection: Ensure that the hook has no cracks, deformations, or wear, and that the safety lock function is normal.

Operation buttons: Check whether the buttons are flexible and prohibit the use of blocked or inactive buttons.

Regular maintenance

Lubrication and maintenance: Regularly add lubricating oil to friction components such as chains and gears to reduce wear.

Clean the filter screen: Regularly clean the air filtration device to prevent blockage and affect the quality of air supply.

Explosion proof component inspection: When disassembling the explosion-proof shell, the main power supply should be cut off to avoid damage to the explosion-proof surface; When the explosion-proof surface is damaged or breathable, it needs to be scrapped.

Long term storage

Chain processing: Remove the chain and clean it with kerosene or diesel, apply engine oil or butter, and store it in a dry place.

Equipment sealing: During long-term storage, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the gourd and take rust prevention measures.

5、 Emergency response

Cut off gas protection

When a gas outage occurs, it is necessary to immediately protect the heavy object (such as using backup support) to prevent it from falling.

Before removing the air tube, turn off the air source to avoid accidental start-up.

Troubleshooting

Stall issue: Check for air source stability or brake system malfunction.

Difficulty in lifting: It may be a problem with the control handle and needs to be replaced separately.

Blockage phenomenon: Confirm whether the compressed gas is air and avoid using other gases.
