The noise of the reducer in European wire rope electric hoists is mainly caused by factors such as gear meshing, bearing problems, assembly errors, insufficient lubrication, structural resonance, and loose fasteners. The specific analysis is as follows:
1、 Gear meshing problem
Tooth profile error and tooth pitch deviation: During gear machining, tooth profile error or tooth pitch deviation can cause meshing impact and vibration, generating high-frequency noise. For example, gear noise with small tooth profile error can be 10dB lower than that of ordinary gears.
Gear wear: After long-term use, gear surface wear will intensify meshing impact, leading to increased noise.
Poor meshing: If the gear backlash is too small, the tooth tip is too high, or the center distance is incorrect, it can cause the tooth tip to come into contact with the tooth root, resulting in a violent metal scraping sound.
2、 Bearing issues
Bearing wear: When spots, grooves, peeling, or rust appear on the inner, outer, or rolling elements of the bearing, a sharp whistling sound will be produced.
Improper clearance: Excessive or insufficient bearing clearance, or improper installation (such as tilting or adjusting the clearance of tapered bearings not meeting requirements), may cause vibration and noise.
Bearing damage: Severely damaged bearings can produce impact sounds, affecting the overall operation of the machine.
3、 Assembly error
Coaxiality and parallelism error: When assembling various components, if the coaxiality or parallelism exceeds the tolerance, it will cause additional force and vibration during operation, thereby causing noise.
Improper assembly: Improper tapping during bearing installation or collision during transportation and assembly may damage components and cause noise.
Resonance problem: If the natural frequency of the reducer housing or components is close to the operating frequency, it may cause structural resonance and generate noise.
4、 Insufficient or poor lubrication
Increased friction: Insufficient lubrication can cause increased friction in components such as gears and bearings, resulting in frictional noise.
Improper selection of oil: Using incorrect or inferior lubricating grease may exacerbate wear and lead to increased noise.
5、 Other factors
Loose fasteners: Loose fasteners such as bolts and nuts can cause vibration and noise in the components.
Damage to transmission components: Improper operation during installation may damage transmission components (such as gears, shafts, etc.), resulting in inaccurate or unstable system movement and generating noise.
Environment of use: High temperature, humidity, or corrosive environments may accelerate component wear and lead to increased noise.
