Key factors to consider when selecting and using stainless steel lever hoists

1、 Material and rust prevention performance

Stainless steel grade

Priority should be given to 304 or 316 stainless steel. 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum and has stronger corrosion resistance, making it suitable for high humidity or chemical corrosion environments.

Confirm that the material meets ASTM A240 standards and avoid using low-grade stainless steel that may cause corrosion.

Surface treatment process

Check whether the surface has been polished, passivated, or coated to enhance its rust prevention ability.

Avoid scratches or welding defects on the surface, as these areas can easily become the starting point of corrosion.

2、 Load capacity and safety design

Rated load and safety factor

Clearly define the rated load (WLL) of the equipment to ensure that actual use does not exceed this value.

Select equipment with a safety factor of ≥ 5 times (such as rated load of 1 ton, actual maximum load not exceeding 200kg).

Security mechanism

Braking system: Prioritize the dual brake design (mechanical brake+electromagnetic brake) to ensure stable load in case of power failure or malfunction.

3、 Mechanical Structure and Durability

Chain material: Confirm that the chain is made of stainless steel and has undergone heat treatment to enhance its hardness.

Chain wheel matching: The tooth profile of the chain wheel needs to fully mesh with the chain to avoid wear or tooth skipping.

Gears and bearings

Gears should be made of high-strength alloy steel with surface hardening treatment to reduce wear.

The bearings should be sealed stainless steel bearings to prevent dust and moisture from entering.

4、 Adaptability to the usage environment

Corrosive environment

In salt spray, acid-base or high humidity environments, 316 stainless steel material should be selected and rust inhibitor should be regularly applied.

Avoid direct contact with highly oxidizing substances such as sodium hypochlorite to prevent stress corrosion cracking.

temperature range

Confirm the operating temperature range of the equipment (usually -20 ℃ to 150 ℃), and special lubricating grease should be selected for extreme temperatures.

5、 Maintenance and operational convenience
