When using a manual hydraulic forklift, it is necessary to strictly control it from four dimensions: operation specifications, safety protection, environmental adaptation, and maintenance. The following are specific precautions:

1、 Pre operation inspection: Ensure that the equipment is in good condition

Hydraulic system inspection

Oil level and leakage: Check if the hydraulic oil is sufficient (the oil level should be below 5mm of the rubber container liquid level). If oil leakage is found, stop maintenance immediately.

Pulley and steering: Confirm that the pulley device is not entangled with foreign objects (such as cotton thread or cloth strips) to avoid steering jamming; Test the flexibility of the steering wheel to ensure it can rotate freely 360 degrees.

Lift function: Operate the fork lift multiple times in an unloaded state to check if the hydraulic cylinder responds smoothly without any jamming or abnormal noise.

Structural and component inspection

Fork status: Check whether the fork is symmetrical and straight, whether the fork arm height adjustment function is normal, and prevent the goods from tipping over due to deformation.

Wheel wear: Confirm that the wheels are not damaged or excessively worn to avoid safety hazards caused by the wheel frame rubbing against the ground or the exposed axle.

Fasteners: Check whether all nuts and bolts are tightened to prevent structural damage or oil leakage caused by looseness.

Load and environment confirmation

Rated load capacity: Confirm that the weight of the goods does not exceed the rated load range of the forklift (usually 1-5 tons), and overloading or overloading is strictly prohibited.

Ground conditions: Ensure that the working ground is dry and flat, and prohibit use on muddy, sloping (slope>2%) or steep slopes to prevent tipping.

Fixed goods: Check whether the goods are stably placed on the pallet to avoid slipping during transportation.

2、 Standard operation: Safety first, avoiding risks

Single person operation principle

Manual hydraulic forklifts should be operated by only one person, and when multiple people cooperate, a designated person in charge should be assigned to command and ensure coordinated movements.

Loading and Handling Techniques

Goods centered: The fork must be fully inserted under the shelf to ensure that the center of gravity of the goods is at the center of the forklift and prevent tipping.

Low level handling: When handling high objects, the forks should be placed as low as possible (≤ 30cm from the ground) to reduce the risk of goods falling.

Smooth lifting: Slowly operate the hydraulic handle to avoid sudden lifting and lowering of the goods, which may cause imbalance.

No throwing: It is strictly prohibited to throw goods directly onto the forklift from a high place to avoid damage to the vehicle or goods.

Speed and steering control

Low speed driving: The operating speed should not exceed 3 kilometers per hour (the normal walking speed for adults is 5 kilometers per hour), and slow down when turning.

Avoid sudden braking: Do not brake suddenly or make sudden turns to prevent the goods from tipping over or the forklift from losing control.

Slope restriction: If it is necessary to pass through a slope, ensure that:

Slope inclination ≤ 2%;

The forklift is unloaded, with the fork arms facing downhill;

The operator stands on the side of the forklift to avoid losing control and hitting people due to inertia.

Body protection measures

Prohibited contact with hazardous areas: During operation, hands, feet, and other parts should not be placed under forks, near mechanical lifting components, or on goods to prevent pinching or crushing injuries.

Clear line of sight: If the line of sight is obstructed (such as cargo obstruction), adjust the angle or seek assistance. Blind operation is strictly prohibited.

Wear protective equipment: It is recommended to wear a safety helmet, non slip shoes, and gloves to reduce the risk of accidental injury.

3、 Special Scenario Response: Avoiding High Risk Operations

Dangerous goods handling

It is prohibited to transport compressed gas cylinders, flammable and explosive materials, or corrosive chemicals.

If hazardous chemicals need to be transported, specialized containers must be used and securely fixed, and safety measures such as electrostatic grounding must be installed.

Emergency situation handling

Cargo dumping: If the cargo or forklift is overturned, do not attempt to straighten it and immediately evacuate to a safe area.

Hydraulic failure: If the hydraulic system fails and the fork cannot be lowered, a manual release valve (if any) should be used or professional repair should be sought. Forceful prying is prohibited.

Wheel stuck: If the wheel is stuck by foreign objects, it needs to be stopped and cleaned before continuing operation. Dragging is prohibited.

4、 Post operation maintenance: Extend equipment lifespan

Storage standards

After use, lower the fork to the lowest position and store it in a dry and ventilated designated area to avoid corrosion caused by long-term exposure to sunlight and rain.

Do not park forklifts in the center of slopes or passages to prevent obstruction or sliding.

Lubrication and maintenance: Add lubricating oil (such as butter) to friction parts such as axles and bearings every month to reduce wear.

Tightening inspection: Check and tighten all nuts and bolts every six months to prevent loosening.

Filter element and oil replacement: Replace the hydraulic filter element every 500 hours, replace the hydraulic oil and filter element every 1000 hours, and clean the oil tank and filter.

Fault handling

If faults such as hydraulic cylinder leakage, fork deformation, or wheel jamming are found, they should be immediately stopped and repaired by professional personnel. It is forbidden to work with problems.
