The anti-corrosion methods for manual push up forklifts (or manual forklifts) need to be comprehensively implemented from five aspects: environmental control, cleaning and maintenance, coating protection, component protection, and regular inspection. The specific measures are as follows:

1、 Environmental control

Storage environment: Try to store forklifts in a dry and well ventilated indoor environment, avoiding prolonged exposure to damp, dusty, or corrosive gases (such as chemical waste gas). If it is necessary to use or store outdoors, a rain shelter or rain cover should be built to reduce rainwater erosion.

Humidity management: In humid seasons or regions, dehumidifiers or desiccants can be used to reduce environmental humidity and prevent metal parts from rusting due to high humidity.

2、 Cleaning and maintenance

Regular cleaning: Regularly clean the surface and internal components of the forklift, especially key parts such as the fork frame, door frame slide, generator, battery electrode fork column, water tank, air filter, etc. When cleaning, use a soft cloth or brush to avoid scratching with hard objects to prevent damage to the coating or metal surface.

Dirt treatment: Timely remove dirt, soil, and debris from forklifts to prevent these substances from forming corrosive media on metal surfaces and accelerating the corrosion process.

Drying treatment: After cleaning, the forklift should be wiped dry with a dry soft cloth, especially the metal parts and connection points, to ensure that there is no residual moisture.

3、 Coating protection

Coating inspection: Regularly check whether the coating of the forklift is damaged or worn. If any is found, it should be repaired or recoated in a timely manner. Coating is the first line of defense against metal corrosion, and a good coating can effectively isolate the corrosive medium from contact with the metal surface.

Coating selection: In coating selection, coatings with strong corrosion resistance, such as polyurethane, acrylic polyurethane, etc., should be prioritized. These coatings have excellent weather resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and wear resistance, which can significantly improve the anti-corrosion ability of forklifts.

Coating construction: During coating construction, it should be ensured that the construction environment is dry, dust-free, the coating thickness is uniform, and there are no bubbles or sagging phenomena. After construction is completed, maintenance should be carried out according to the requirements of the coating manual to ensure that the coating is completely cured and achieves the best protective effect.

4、 Component protection

Bearings and connection points: Forklift bearings and connection points are prone to rusting due to the influence of moisture and humidity. Therefore, regular lubrication treatment should be carried out on these parts, using appropriate anti rust lubricating oil or grease to form a protective film that isolates the invasion of moisture and corrosive media.

Concealed areas: The deep components and concealed areas of forklifts may be overlooked due to incomplete cleaning or inspection. Therefore, during maintenance, special attention should be paid to the anti-corrosion treatment of these areas, such as using rust proof oil or rust proof coatings for additional protection.

Electrical system: The electrical system of forklifts is also a key area for corrosion prevention. Regularly check the fastening of electrical connectors to ensure that there is no looseness or corrosion. At the same time, for exposed electrical components, protective covers or dust covers should be installed to prevent moisture and dust from entering.

5、 Regular inspection

Comprehensive inspection: Regularly conduct a comprehensive inspection of forklifts, including appearance, structure, component connections, coating condition, etc. By conducting inspections, potential corrosion risks can be identified in a timely manner and measures can be taken to address them.

Key inspection: During the inspection process, special attention should be paid to the corrosion of key components such as fork frames, door frames, chains, and hydraulic cylinders. These components are important supports for forklift operation, and once corrosion damage occurs, it will seriously affect the safety and service life of the forklift.

Record and analysis: Establish a forklift anti-corrosion maintenance record file, recording the time, content, problems discovered, and handling measures of each maintenance. By analyzing the recorded data, the corrosion status and development trend of forklifts can be understood, providing scientific basis for subsequent anti-corrosion maintenance.
