1、 Pre operation inspection

Equipment body inspection

Confirm that the appearance of the electric hoist is undamaged, with no obvious faults or cracks.

Check if the brake and limiter are reliable, adjust the upper and lower limit stop blocks in place before lifting.

Test that the power and control wires are securely connected without any breakage or exposed wires.

Ensure that the rotating part of the hook rotates flexibly, the gap is not too large, and there is no jamming phenomenon.

Clean up obstacles in the operating area and ensure that there is no interference around suspended objects.

Climatic conditions shall be assessed. Operation is prohibited in severe weather such as strong wind, rainstorm, thunder and lightning.

Special personnel are required to supervise operations near high-voltage lines and maintain a safe distance (usually not less than 4 meters).

Protective equipment and tools

Operators wear protective equipment such as safety helmets, work clothes, and safety shoes.

Select suitable lifting equipment (such as hooks, slings, and chains) according to the requirements and check their integrity.

2、 Standardized operation

Start up and trial lifting

Start the electric hoist and confirm its normal operation before lifting.

During the trial lifting, lift the object about 10 centimeters off the ground and check the stability and effectiveness of the brake.

Lifting process

Overloading is strictly prohibited: the lifting weight shall not exceed the rated load capacity.

Avoid lateral tension: The lifted object should be lifted vertically, and it is forbidden to pull the truck diagonally or with a hook.

Personnel stay away: No one is allowed to stand under the suspended object or within the rotating range, to avoid the suspended object passing or staying above the human head.

Slow operation: The lifting and lowering should be smooth to avoid equipment shaking caused by rapid movements.

Signal communication: Operators and commanders maintain smooth communication to ensure clear instructions.

Special scenario handling

Power outage emergency: In the event of a sudden power outage, turn the controller handle back to zero position and handle the suspended object after it lands.

Brake failure: If the brake fails, immediately jog or reverse to find a safe landing point; If unable to land, switch to the up gear step by step and slowly move to a safe area.

Out of control handling: When the motor is powered on but the controller fails, immediately cut off the power and signal relevant personnel to stop the operation.

3、 Post operation maintenance

Equipment parking

After completing the homework, raise the hook to the top and place the grab bucket in a position that does not affect traffic.

Cut off the power, lock the control box, close the doors and windows, and secure the cables.

routine maintenance

Cleaning and lubrication: Regularly wipe the hook, lubricate the pulley, rotating parts, and grease fittings.

Bolt inspection: Confirm that all bolts and screws are tightened, and that the split pins are complete and open.

Pulley and wire rope: Check the wear of the wheel groove, the matching degree and looseness of the wire rope, and replace the worn parts in a timely manner.

Anti unhooking device: Ensure that the anti unhooking device is intact to prevent the hanging object from falling off.

Regular maintenance

Professional inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection at least once a year, using flaw detection technology to detect cracks, wear, and deformation of the hook.

Scrap standard: Immediately scrap the hook in the following situations:

The opening degree has increased by more than 15% compared to the original size;

Dangerous section wear reaches 10% of the original size;

Twisted deformation exceeding 10 °;

Cracks, plastic deformation, or wear of the plate hook liner reaching 50% of the original size.

4、 Safety taboos

The Ten No Hanging Principles

Unknown signal, overload, loose binding, presence of people on the suspended object, failure of safety devices, lack of protection for sharp edges, diagonal pulling, dim lighting, crushed goods, and loose goods not being lifted.

Operation taboos

Prohibit using limiters to cut off power and stop the vehicle;

Prohibit maintenance or adjustment of equipment during lifting;

It is prohibited to use two electric hoists to lift one piece of goods together (special plans are required for special circumstances);

It is prohibited to move cable plugs or use resistors to bake objects in rainy or snowy weather.
