When installing and operating a pneumatic hoist, comprehensive control should be carried out from four aspects: pre installation preparation, installation process standardization, gas supply system configuration, and post installation inspection and testing. The specific contents are as follows:
1、 Preparation before installation
Equipment integrity check
Appearance inspection: Confirm that the pneumatic hoist housing, air pipe, brake and limit device are not bumped, deformed or scratched, and that the air valve, joint, handle, hook chain (steel wire rope) and other components are not damaged or missing.
Strength of supporting structure: Ensure that the support frame of the suspended pneumatic hoist has sufficient strength to withstand 1.5 times the weight of the self weight of the pneumatic hoist and the maximum lifting load. If suspended by a hook, it is necessary to ensure that the hook is completely inside the hook saddle and the hook lock is closed.
Installation method selection
Hanging installation: suitable for ordinary lifting operations, using dedicated hooks such as cranes, hoists, or KBK aluminum alloy tracks to hang pneumatic hoists from lifting parts.
Fixed installation: Suitable for long-term use or fixed position operation, such as the lower part of a bridge crane or the working platform of a tower crane, firmly fixed with a dedicated mounting seat or fixing buckle.
Vehicle mounted installation: Suitable for scenarios that require frequent movement, it achieves mobile transportation by installing dedicated brackets or hanging devices on engineering vehicles or forklift work platforms.
2、 Installation Process Specification
Track and trolley installation
I-beam measurement: When installing the trolley, it is necessary to measure the I-beam edge to determine the actual distribution and gasket arrangement. The distance between the wheel edges should be 4mm to 6mm larger than the distance between the beam edges. The number of gaskets between the trolley side plate and the installation lug should be the same to ensure that the pneumatic hoist is located in the center below the I-beam.
Side panel adjustment: When installing the pneumatic hoist and trolley, ensure that the side panels are parallel and perpendicular. After installation, use the rated load to conduct a running test on the entire crossbeam at a distance of 10-50cm from the ground to ensure that the trolley travels flexibly and lightly, with no dead points throughout the entire journey.
Anti collision and safety devices
Anti collision buffer mechanism: Check whether collision buffer mechanisms are installed between adjacent pneumatic hoists to prevent mechanical collision damage.
Safety rope and end cover: Confirm whether the safety rope is installed between the hoist and the pulley, and whether the end cover and buffer block are installed at the sliding rail port.
3、 Gas supply system configuration
Air source requirements
Pressure and flow rate: The gas supply pressure should be between 0.55-0.7MPa, and the temperature should not exceed 55 ℃ to meet the demand for increasing the rated load.
Pipe diameter selection: Within a distance of 15m between the gas source and the pneumatic hoist, the diameter of the gas supply pipe shall not be less than ф 25mm, and the diameter of the hose shall not be less than ф 16mm; When the distance exceeds 15m, the pipe diameter should be appropriately increased.
Pipeline layout: The gas supply pipeline should be arranged in a straight and short distance as much as possible to avoid long-distance piping and excessive installation of components (such as elbows, tees, ball valves) that can cause pressure drop. If using a quick connector, it is necessary to ensure that the diameter of the air channel is not less than ф 15mm.
Filtration and lubrication
Air triple piece: Air filters, pressure reducing valves, and oil mist devices (triple piece) must be installed, and the distance between the triple piece and the equipment must not exceed 3 meters. The filter should provide a filtration capacity of 10 microns and be equipped with a dehumidifier, which should be cleaned once a month to maintain effectiveness.
Lubrication requirements: Use a lubricator with a size at least the same as the air supply port of the lifting motor, and control the lubricating oil drop rate at 2-3 drops per minute. Before connecting the gas supply pipeline, it is necessary to rinse it with dry and clean air to remove internal waste.
4、 Post installation inspection and testing
Air circuit connection inspection
Open the air circuit valve, adjust the working pressure to 0.6 MPa, check whether the connections of each air circuit are secure, and whether there is any air leakage at the joints.
Functional Testing
Lift function: Press the "up/down" button on the handle to check if the hoist lifts smoothly and if the limiter is functioning properly.
Exhaust noise: Check if the exhaust noise is abnormal and if there are any other abnormal sounds.
Load testing: Lift the rated load to check the lifting function of the hoist, the reliability of the braking system, and whether the lifting speed meets the technical requirements.
Emergency braking: Cut off the main air source under load and check if the braking system and other protective devices are working properly.
