How to maintain pneumatic winches to extend their service life

Pneumatic winches are widely used in industrial and marine fields due to their advantages of explosion-proof, lightweight, and low maintenance. However, to ensure its long-term stable operation and extend its service life, systematic maintenance is required. The following is a maintenance guide based on device characteristics and industry practices:

1、 Daily maintenance (daily/after each use)

Cleaning and Inspection

Remove dirt: Use compressed air or a soft cloth to clean the surface of the winch and debris inside the drum, avoiding the residue of corrosive substances.

Check fasteners: Confirm that bolts, nuts, and other connecting components are not loose to prevent component detachment due to vibration.

Pneumatic system inspection

Pipeline integrity: Check the pneumatic pipeline for any damage or air leakage, and ensure that the joints are securely connected.

Pressure test: Use a pressure gauge to check if the input air pressure meets the equipment requirements (usually 6-8 bar). Excessive or insufficient pressure can affect performance.

Lubrication of pneumatic motor: According to the instructions, regularly inject specialized lubricating oil into the pneumatic motor (such as every 50 hours of operation) to reduce internal wear.

Replacement of vulnerable parts

Seals: Replace aging or damaged O-rings and gaskets to prevent air leakage.
