How to set various times for electric winches

The time setting of electric winches is usually not directly adjusted through a single "time parameter", but needs to be indirectly achieved by combining operation mode, speed setting, protection parameters, and stroke control. The following are specific setting methods and precautions:

1、 Operation mode and time control

Manual mode: The operator directly controls the motor start stop and speed through the main control handle, and the time is completely controlled manually. Attention should be paid to avoiding long-term overload operation and preventing the motor from overheating.

Maintenance mode: limited to a maximum speed (such as 1m/s), suitable for special operations such as hanging ropes and changing ropes. It is necessary to set maintenance time limits to prevent equipment damage caused by prolonged operation time.

Emergency mode: In the event of a PLC failure, manual driving is performed through a backup system (such as PLC2) with a maximum speed limit of 2.5m/s. It is necessary to clarify the time window for emergency operations to ensure rapid response in emergency situations.

2、 Speed setting and time relationship

Variable frequency speed regulation: Adjust the frequency of the frequency converter (0-50Hz) through an external potentiometer, corresponding to the motor speed (0-1500r/min). It is necessary to set the acceleration/deceleration time reasonably according to the load requirements to avoid equipment impact caused by sudden speed changes.

Multi speed setting: For example, the cable collection speed is set to 25r/min, and the cable release speed is automatically adjusted according to the depth (such as automatically slowing down when 50 meters away from the set length). The speed switching point needs to be adjusted according to the actual working conditions to ensure smooth operation.

3、 Protection parameters and time limits

Overspeed protection: Set protection thresholds such as constant speed overspeed (e.g. 15% of rated speed) and fixed-point overspeed (e.g. 2m/s). When the speed exceeds the set value, the system automatically triggers emergency braking to prevent accidents from occurring.

Over roll protection: The winch position is monitored through a travel switch or encoder. When it reaches the up/down over roll position, it immediately stops running and triggers an alarm. Regularly verify the accuracy of the over roll protection device to ensure safety and reliability.

Loose rope protection: Monitor the tension of the steel wire rope and automatically stop the machine when there is a loose rope phenomenon. The loose rope protection threshold needs to be adjusted according to the specifications and load conditions of the steel wire rope.

4、 Travel control and time optimization

Travel given: Set the speed curve with travel as the independent variable, such as automatically generating a position speed envelope, to ensure that the winch reaches the predetermined speed at a specific position. It is necessary to adjust the given parameters of the travel according to the actual working conditions to improve operational efficiency.

Optimization of deceleration points: Adjust the deceleration position by modifying PLC parameters (such as PDSpS1 and PDSpV1 software and hardware deceleration points) to reduce crawling distance and time. It is necessary to conduct on-site tests to verify the rationality of the deceleration point setting and ensure that the winch stops smoothly.

5、 Time setting precautions

Parameter matching: The time setting should be matched with the load characteristics of the winch, motor power, transmission ratio and other parameters to ensure stable operation of the equipment under various working conditions.

Security redundancy: Set up dual protection for hardware security circuits and software security circuits. When one circuit is disconnected, the other circuit immediately takes effect, ensuring the safety and reliability of the system.

Regular verification: Regularly verify and adjust time related parameters to ensure that equipment performance meets design requirements. At the same time, record the history of parameter modifications for easy troubleshooting and traceability.
