Manual hydraulic forklifts usually do not involve complex electronic time parameter settings, and their core operations rely on mechanical hydraulic systems and manual control. However, if the forklift is equipped with additional devices such as speed limiters or throttle controllers, relevant time parameters need to be set according to specific functions. The following are time setting methods and operational suggestions for different scenarios:
1、 Speed limiter buffer time setting (applicable to forklifts equipped with electronic speed limit systems)
The buffer time of the speed limiter is used to control the transition process of the forklift from acceleration to reaching the speed limit value, avoiding safety hazards caused by sudden speed changes. The setting steps are as follows:
Enter the setting mode: Long press the "time" button on the speed limiter for 3 seconds, and the display screen will show "LC --" ("Lc" indicates that the current state is the buffer time setting, and the last two digits are the buffer time, in seconds).
Adjust time: Set the buffer time using the "+" and "-" keys, typically ranging from 1 to 99 seconds. For example, if you need to set a 5-second buffer time, press the "+" key 4 times (counting from 0).
Save Settings: Press and hold the "Confirm" button for 2 seconds to complete the settings and exit, or wait for 5 seconds for automatic saving.
Function: Reasonable buffer time setting can make forklift speed changes smoother, reduce the impact on goods and equipment caused by rapid acceleration or deceleration, and improve operational comfort.
2、 Working time setting of throttle controller (applicable to forklifts equipped with electronic throttle control system)
The working time of the throttle controller is used to control the throttle response time of the forklift under specific working conditions, avoiding safety hazards caused by improper throttle control. The setting steps are as follows:
Confirm default state: The electronic throttle working time should default to 0 seconds, and the wire throttle working time should default to 3 seconds. If it is necessary to adjust the working time of the cable throttle, it must be set to 3 seconds to avoid the controller getting stuck or suspending operation.
Entering the setting mode: When the display screen shows 0000 status, press the remote control button sequence "++- Confirm", which must be completed within 3 seconds (counting from the first press of the "+" button).
Adjust time: Use the "+" and "-" keys to set the working time within the range of 0-10 seconds. For example, if you need to set a 5-second working time, press the "+" key 5 times.
Save Settings: Press and hold the "Confirm" button for 2 seconds to complete the settings and exit, or wait for 5 seconds for automatic saving.
Function: Reasonable throttle controller working time setting can ensure smooth throttle response during forklift start-up and acceleration, avoiding vehicle loss of control or cargo dumping caused by improper throttle control.
3、 Alarm lock time setting (applicable to forklifts equipped with overspeed alarm function)
The alarm lock time is used to control the alarm lock duration of forklifts after continuous overspeed or standby timeout, in order to avoid safety hazards caused by failure to handle alarms in a timely manner. The setting steps are as follows:
Enter setting mode: Long press the "3" button on the remote control for 1 second (if it exceeds 2 seconds, it will automatically exit the setting state) to enter the lock time setting. The digital display shows "LC00", "LC" indicating that the current state is the lock time setting, and the last two digits are the lock time, in seconds.
Adjust time: Use the "1" and "2" keys to increase or decrease the lock time within the range of 1-99 seconds. For example, if you need to set a 10 second lock time, press the "1" key 10 times.
Save Settings: Short press the "3" key to exit the settings, and the system will automatically save the data.
Function: Reasonable alarm locking time setting can ensure that forklifts issue alarms and lock the vehicle in a timely manner when abnormal situations occur, preventing safety accidents caused by failure to handle them in a timely manner.
4、 Operation suggestions and precautions
Follow the equipment manual: Forklifts of different brands and models may have differences in time parameter settings. It is necessary to strictly follow the operating manual to avoid equipment failure or safety accidents caused by misoperation.
Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly check the working status of additional devices such as speed limiters and throttle controllers to ensure accurate time parameter settings. At the same time, check for leaks or blockages in key components such as hydraulic cylinders and wheels.
Safety operation specifications:
Principle of single person operation: Manual hydraulic forklifts should be operated by only one person. When multiple people cooperate, a designated person in charge should be assigned to command and ensure coordinated operation.
Load limit: Ensure that the weight of the goods carried does not exceed the maximum load limit specified by the forklift, to avoid equipment damage or safety accidents caused by overloading.
Smooth operation: Maintain a constant speed during the pressing, handling, and unloading processes to avoid sudden acceleration or running, reduce the burden on the hydraulic system, and improve efficiency.
Path planning: Reasonably plan work channels and cargo stacking locations, reduce forklift travel distance and turning frequency, improve work efficiency and reduce safety risks.
