Inspection and testing methods for European style wire rope electric hoists after installation

The inspection and testing of European wire rope electric hoists after installation need to be comprehensively verified from six aspects: electrical system, mechanical structure, safety devices, load capacity, braking system, and track and pulley, to ensure that the equipment meets safety standards and operates stably. Here are the specific methods:

1、 Electrical system inspection

Power check:

Ensure that the power supply at the installation site can meet the operational requirements of the electric hoist, and that the input voltage during motor operation is not less than 90% of the rated voltage.

Be careful to prevent excessive voltage drop in the power supply due to long cables or small cross-sections.

When connecting the power supply, pay attention to the correctness of the phase sequence.

Electrical circuit inspection:

Check if the electrical circuit connections are correct and reliable, without any looseness or short circuits.

Use a multimeter or other tools to check electrical parameters such as voltage, current, etc., to ensure that they are within the normal range.

2、 Mechanical structure inspection

Lubrication inspection:

Check if all lubrication parts are adequately lubricated with grease to ensure smooth operation of components such as gears and bearings.

Wire rope inspection:

Check if the steel wire rope is loose or tangled, and if necessary, readjust the arrangement of the steel wire rope.

Ensure that the wire rope buckle is secure and free from breakage or wear.

Hook inspection:

Check if the hook can move freely in all directions without any jamming or deviation.

Check if the hook is securely fastened and ensure its effectiveness.

3、 Safety device inspection

Limit device inspection:

Check if the limiters can operate correctly, including the up and down limiters.

Adjust the stop block position of the limit rod device to ensure that the limiter can promptly cut off the circuit and stop the movement of the hook when it rises to the highest position or descends to the lowest position.

Specific adjustment method: Start the electric hoist with no load. When the hook rises to the highest position, the rope guide touches the stop block on the right, pushes the limit rod - limit device, cuts off the lifting circuit, and the hook stops rising. At this time, the distance between the upper end face of the pulley housing and the lower end face of the drum housing should be 50-150mm. Similarly, when the hook descends to the lowest position, the descent circuit should be cut off and the hook should stop descending. At this time, there must be 2-3 turns (safety ring) of steel wire rope left on the drum.

Emergency button check:

Check if the emergency button can be operated correctly to ensure that the power can be quickly cut off and the operation of the electric hoist can be stopped in case of emergency.

4、 Load testing

No load test:

Run each mechanism under no-load conditions and carefully inspect the operating circuit for any issues.

Check whether the limiters and other equipment can operate safely and stably.

Static load test:

Ensure that the operating mechanism remains stationary and perform a 1.25 times rated load trial lifting operation.

Lift the load by 10cm and hold it for 10 minutes to check if all mechanisms can operate normally without deformation or damage.

Dynamic load test:

If the static load test results are good, a dynamic load test should be conducted using 1.1 times the rated load.

Repeat the operation of rising, falling, and moving left and right for more than 15 minutes, and check whether each mechanism can operate normally without any abnormal noise or vibration.

Check if the brake slip is normal. If the slip is too large, adjust the brake.

5、 Brake system detection

Brake performance test:

Test the performance of the brake to ensure its effective operation in emergency situations and prevent accidents from occurring.

A combination of no-load variable frequency acceleration test and load drop test can be used to measure the stopping time and stopping distance.

Brake glide check:

Under rated load, check whether the brake sliding amount meets the regulations. If the sliding amount is too large, adjust the brake or replace the brake pads.

6、 Track and pulley inspection

Track inspection:

If the electric hoist moves along the track, it is necessary to check whether the track is fixed well and there is no looseness or deformation.

Pulley inspection:

Check if the pulley moves smoothly on the track without any jamming or wear.
