The application, maintenance, and upkeep methods for European wire rope electric hoists are as follows:
1、 Daily cleaning
Surface dust removal: Use a clean cloth or brush to remove dust and dirt from the surface of the electric hoist, avoiding the accumulation of dirt that affects heat dissipation and component operation.
Deep cleaning: Regularly use specialized cleaning agents or soapy water to clean the surface, but prevent water from seeping into the interior. After cleaning, wipe dry to prevent rusting.
2、 Lubrication and maintenance
Lubrication of key parts: Use specialized lubricating oil or grease to lubricate key components such as gears and bearings, reduce wear and friction, and ensure transmission efficiency.
Lubrication of steel wire rope: Regularly apply special lubricating grease for steel wire rope to prevent rust and reduce friction between internal steel wires, thereby extending the service life. When lubricating, use a hard bristled brush or wooden tool to avoid direct application by hand.
Lubrication precautions: Avoid excessive application of lubricant to prevent contamination or waste; Wipe the surface and lubricated areas after lubrication to maintain cleanliness.
3、 Regular inspection
Wire rope inspection:
Check for broken wires, deformation, or wear. If 7-8 wires are broken within a pitch or the diameter decreases by more than 40%, they should be replaced immediately.
Ensure that the steel wire rope is arranged neatly on the pulley and drum, avoiding deviation or jumping.
Brake inspection:
Test whether the brake can reliably maintain the position of the cargo. If the brake slip exceeds the standard value under rated load (such as S ≤ V/100), adjust the brake bolts or replace the brake ring.
Check the thickness of the brake pads, and replace them if the wear exceeds 50%.
Control box inspection:
Ensure that switches, buttons, and other operations are sensitive and reliable, without poor contact or disconnection.
Check if the limiter has been reset or damaged to prevent the signal terminal from causing the equipment to lose control.
Inspection of other components:
Check for damage or looseness in gears, bearings, and other parts.
Confirm that the track, wheels, and other operating mechanisms are not deformed or skewed, ensuring smooth operation.
4、 Operating standards
Avoid overloading: It is strictly prohibited to exceed the rated load or rated opening and closing times (such as 120 times/hour) to prevent component damage.
Prohibit diagonal pulling and lifting: Ensure that the steel wire rope is perpendicular to the hook to avoid skewing and causing wear or breakage of the steel wire rope.
Prevent heavy objects from hanging for a long time: After use, lift the hook to a height of more than 2 meters above the ground and cut off the main power supply to prevent deformation of the parts.
Standardized start and stop: Tighten the steel wire rope before lifting to avoid emergency stop or frequent start and stop; Ensure reliable operation of the brake when parking.
5、 Fault handling
Motor does not start or runs weakly:
Check if the power supply voltage is normal (± 10% rated voltage) to ensure three-phase electrical balance.
Test the insulation resistance of the motor. If the winding is short circuited, replace the motor.
Adjust the brake clearance to ensure that the brake pads are completely separated.
Wear or breakage of steel wire rope:
Regularly inspect and replace steel wire ropes according to standards to avoid contact with sharp objects.
Ensure that the steel wire rope is arranged neatly on the pulley and drum to reduce friction.
Brake system malfunction:
Check the thickness of the brake pads and spring pressure, adjust the brake clearance to the standard value (such as 0.3-0.5mm).
Clean the surface of the brake wheel to ensure there are no oil stains or impurities.
Control button malfunction:
Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the circuit and repair the broken points.
Clean or replace the control button, and check if the limiter has been reset.
6、 Storage and scrapping
Storage requirements:
When storing steel wire ropes, they should be cleaned and lubricated. After coiling, they should be stored in a dry place with wooden boards or sleepers underneath.
Avoid contact with conductive objects such as welding wires to prevent electric shock damage.
Scrap standard:
When the entire strand of steel wire rope breaks or the core is extruded, it needs to be scrapped.
Steel wire ropes that have been corroded by chemical media or overloaded shall not continue to be used.
Steel wire ropes with severe deformation, structural damage, or core extrusion must be immediately scrapped.
