The inspection and testing of hydraulic forklifts should revolve around core systems such as appearance, lighting, electrical, power, hydraulic, braking, steering, forks, and attachments, combined with professional instruments and standardized processes to ensure safe and reliable operation of the equipment. Here are the specific methods:
1、 Appearance inspection
Vehicle inspection: Check the forklift body for deformation, damage, and paint peeling; Whether the connections of each component are firm, and whether there are loose or missing bolts and nuts.
Tire inspection: Check the degree of wear on the tires. For inflatable tires, check if the air pressure meets the standard. For solid tires, check if the rubber layer and hub joint are cracked.
2、 Lighting and electrical system testing
Light detection: Check whether the headlights, turn signals, brake lights, warning lights, etc. are working properly.
Electrical system testing: Check whether the battery is fully charged, whether the wires are damaged, aged, short circuited, etc; Is the sound of the horn clear.
3、 Power system testing
Engine or electric motor detection: Check the working status of the engine or electric motor and listen for any abnormal noise.
Liquid level detection: Check whether the oil, coolant and other liquid levels are normal and whether there is any leakage. For electric forklifts, it is also necessary to check whether the motor controller is working properly.
4、 Hydraulic system testing
Hydraulic oil level detection: Check the hydraulic oil level to ensure it is normal.
Hydraulic pipeline inspection: Check whether there is oil leakage in the hydraulic pipeline and joints, whether the hydraulic cylinder is working normally, and whether there is any jamming or crawling phenomenon.
Hydraulic pump detection: Check if the sound of the hydraulic pump is normal during operation.
Lift pressure test: Use a pressure gauge to detect the pressure value of the lifting oil cylinder, compare it with the rated pressure indicated on the equipment nameplate, and if the deviation exceeds ± 10%, immediate maintenance is required.
Operation response speed test: The delay time from the action of the joystick to the lifting of the fork should be ≤ 1 second, and the adjustment time of the tilt cylinder's forward and backward angles should comply with ISO 22915 standard.
5、 Brake system detection
Service brake performance test: Test the performance of the service brake, check whether the brake pedal stroke meets the requirements, whether the brake is sensitive and effective, and whether there is any deviation phenomenon.
Parking brake performance test: Test the performance of the parking brake. Tighten the handbrake on a 15% slope and the vehicle should be able to remain stationary for more than 5 minutes.
Braking force test: Verify the braking distance through two operating conditions: no load and full load. For example, when an unloaded forklift is traveling at a speed of 20km/h on a dry road surface, the braking distance should be ≤ 3 meters.
6、 Steering system detection
Steering wheel free rotation detection: Check whether the free rotation of the steering wheel is appropriate, usually ≤ 15 °.
Steering flexibility detection: Check whether the steering is light and flexible, and whether there is any jamming or deviation.
Steering component inspection: Check for deformation, wear, and looseness of components such as steering knuckles and tie rods.
7、 Forks and attachments testing
Fork inspection: Check whether the fork is deformed or cracked, whether the fork wear exceeds the standard (usually the tread depth is ≥ 1.6mm), and whether the connection between the fork and the fork frame is firm.
Accessory detection: For other accessories, their working status should also be checked for normal operation.
