Precautions for using emulsion crane hoist

When using emulsion lifting equipment (emulsion hoist), the following safety precautions must be strictly followed, including pre operation inspection, operation monitoring, maintenance, and emergency response, to ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment:

1、 Pre operation safety check

Equipment appearance and component inspection

Confirm that the appearance of the emulsion hoist is undamaged, the mechanical components (such as chains and gears) are normal, and the emulsion in the cylinder is sufficient.

Check if all connecting bolts are tightened and if the coupling is intact to avoid equipment failure caused by looseness.

Ensure that the electrical operation handle or button is flexible and reliable, and that the cable suspension is neat and free of compression.

Quality and liquid level inspection of emulsion

The concentration of the emulsion should meet the standard of 3% -5% (when there is no automatic liquid dispensing device, it should be checked at least once per shift). If the concentration is too low, it may cause problems such as slow movement and leakage of the bracket.

The liquid level in the tank should reach 2/3 of the tank body, and it is strictly prohibited to inject long flowing water or use emulsion with low concentration.

Check if the emulsion filtration components are complete to prevent impurities from entering the system.

Work environment inspection

Confirm that the roof support of the roadway is safe and reliable, with no risk of loose support or roof collapse.

Check whether the connection of the liquid supply pipeline is reliable, whether the suspension is reasonable (to avoid friction with the cable), and to prevent pipeline rupture or leakage.

2、 Safety monitoring during operation

Startup and Signal Management

Before starting, a clear signal should be sent to confirm that surrounding personnel have evacuated to a safe area to avoid injury caused by unclear signals.

It is strictly prohibited to turn on the device directly without clear signal or signal transmission.

Pressure and temperature monitoring

Observe the pressure gauge in real-time to ensure that the supply pressure is ≥ 30MPa and the unloading setting value does not exceed 31.5MPa.

Monitor the crankcase oil temperature (alarm for ≤ 70 ℃, shutdown for ≤ 90 ℃) to avoid equipment damage caused by poor lubrication.

Monitor the sound of the device running, check the lubrication and sealing of the plunger, and immediately stop the machine if any abnormalities are found.

Prohibited Code of Conduct

It is strictly prohibited to open the lead seals or adjust the operating pressure of components such as unloading valves, safety valves, and accumulators without authorization (except during repairs).

When the gas concentration near the motor and switch reaches 1.5%, operation is strictly prohibited.

Pump station drivers are not allowed to leave their posts without authorization and must monitor the operation status of the equipment throughout the entire process.

3、 Maintenance and upkeep safety requirements

Regularly replace emulsion

When abnormal phenomena such as oil separation, soap separation, discoloration, odor or non emulsification occur, the emulsion should be replaced immediately to prevent contamination of the system.

Regularly clean the emulsion supply tank, collection tank, and filter to ensure the cleanliness of the emulsion.

Key component maintenance

Lubrication management: Regularly check the amount and cleanliness of lubricating oil, adjust the oil level or replace the lubricating oil to avoid damage to the bearing and crankshaft caused by poor lubrication.

Seal inspection: Regularly inspect the plunger seal, valve core and seat "O" - shaped sealing ring and other components, and replace them in a timely manner if leakage or intake is found.

Filter cleaning: Regularly clean the suction filter to prevent blockage that may cause insufficient liquid supply or incomplete air discharge in the pump.

Troubleshooting and Handling

Unstable pressure: Check the nitrogen pressure in the accumulator, whether the air in the pump is completely discharged, and whether the suction filter is clogged.

Running collision sound: Check if the slider compression nut, connecting rod bearing bolt are loose, and if there are any debris inside the pump.

Overheating of crankcase: Check the amount and cleanliness of lubricating oil, and whether the crankshaft connecting rod bearings are worn or damaged.

4、 Emergency response and safety protection

Immediate shutdown condition

The equipment produces abnormal sounds, odors, and exceeds the temperature limit (pump or liquid temperature exceeds the specified value).

The pressure gauge indicates abnormal pressure, and the emulsion concentration or liquid level height does not meet the regulations.

Control valve failure, filter damage or blockage, supply pipeline rupture.

Emergency material preparation

Equipped with leak interceptors, oil absorbing cotton cloth, explosion-proof equipment, etc., for handling emulsion leaks or fire accidents.

Develop emergency plans for leaks, fires, equipment failures, etc., clarify the handling procedures and alarm methods.

Personnel training and drills

Regularly organize safety drills to ensure that staff are familiar with emergency operation procedures.

Train drivers to master equipment failure phenomena and handling methods, and improve accident response speed.
