For the rust prevention of European wire rope electric hoists, the following systematic protective measures can be taken, combined with structural characteristics and usage environment to develop targeted plans:

1、 Special protection for core components

Rust prevention of steel wire rope

Oil protection: Use professional spraying equipment to evenly cover rust proof grease (such as calcium based or lithium based lubricating grease), avoiding impurities from entering by hand operation. The grease needs to penetrate into the rope core to form a continuous lubricating layer.

Physical isolation: Wrap tightly with plastic film or rain cover outside of work to prevent rainwater and dust from entering. For equipment stored outdoors for a long time, it is recommended to use it with a desiccant pack.

Material upgrade: In corrosive environments such as coastal areas and chemical zones, galvanized or aluminum coated steel wire ropes are selected, and the zinc hydroxide/aluminum layer formed on their surface can effectively block corrosive media.

Gearbox maintenance

Anti rust grease application: Apply anti rust grease containing barium petroleum sulfonate evenly on the surface of the gear to form a dense protective film. This ingredient has strong hygroscopicity, can adsorb trace amounts of water, and delay rusting.

Regular inspection: Check the gearbox at least once a month, with a focus on oil film integrity, gear wear, and box sealing. If rust spots are found, they should be scraped off with hardwood or bamboo slices and re oiled. The use of metal tools is strictly prohibited.

Rust prevention of hook bearings

Calcium based grease injection: Regularly inject calcium based anti rust grease into the bearing, which has good water resistance and can prevent lubrication failure caused by rainwater erosion.

Operation monitoring: Check the bearing operation status through vibration sensors or visual inspection. If there is any jamming or abnormal noise, it should be immediately disassembled, cleaned, and re oiled.

2、 Synchronized maintenance of related components

Pulley and drum maintenance

Cleaning and rust removal: Regularly use a wire brush to remove rust and dirt from the surface of the pulley groove and drum, to avoid increased friction and damage to the rust proof layer.

Rust prevention lubrication: Apply specialized rust prevention lubricant (such as molybdenum disulfide grease) to reduce friction and enhance rust prevention ability.

Accuracy check: Use a laser centering device to detect the installation accuracy of the pulley and drum, ensuring smooth operation of the steel wire rope and avoiding abnormal wear.

Exposed surface protection

Thread treatment: Apply anti rust lubricating grease to the surface of the exposed threads that have been processed to prevent thread corrosion and difficulty in disassembly.

Structural component coating: For carbon steel shells, epoxy zinc rich primer and polyurethane topcoat can be sprayed to form dual protection. If rust has already appeared, it needs to be sanded to St3 level (thoroughly rust removed) first, and then repainted.

3、 Environmental adaptability optimization

humidity control

Indoor environment: Install dehumidifiers or ventilation equipment in factories with humidity greater than 75%, and maintain the relative humidity of the air between 40% -60%.

Outdoor environment: Install rain shelters for equipment and set up drainage channels at the bottom to prevent water accumulation and soaking. For equipment that has been out of use for a long time, it is necessary to start running it regularly to avoid accelerated corrosion of components due to inactivity.

Temperature management

High temperature environment: In places where the temperature is greater than 50 ℃, use high-temperature resistant lubricating grease (such as composite lithium based grease) to prevent oil oxidation and failure.

Low temperature environment: In areas with temperatures below -20 ℃, use low-temperature grease (such as polyurea based grease) to ensure that the equipment can still operate flexibly at low temperatures.

4、 Operating standards and emergency response

Daily operation standards

Pre homework inspection: Before starting, check whether there are water stains or oil stains on the surface of the equipment, wipe it clean and apply oil in a timely manner.

Monitoring during operation: Real time monitoring of load, speed and other parameters through HMI (Human Machine Interface) to avoid mechanical impact caused by overload or emergency stop.

After homework maintenance: After the work is completed, use compressed air to blow off the dust on the surface of the equipment, and then apply a layer of rust proof grease. If the equipment is submerged in water, it needs to be disassembled, cleaned, and dried immediately.

Emergency treatment for rust

Mild rusting: After removing rust spots with sandpaper or wire brush, apply anti rust grease and wrap it with plastic film.

Severe corrosion: If key components such as gears and bearings are severely corroded, the machine should be stopped immediately for replacement, and a comprehensive inspection of equipment from the same batch should be conducted.
