The noise generated during the manual forklift handling of cattle is mainly related to the wear, looseness, or malfunction of the forklift's mechanical components, as well as improper operation methods, and is less related to the characteristics of the cattle themselves. The following is a specific analysis from two aspects: forklift mechanical components and operating methods:
Forklift mechanical component issues
Engine issues:
Fuel issues: Improper use of engine oil, dirty engine oil, or insufficient fuel combustion can all lead to unstable engine idle, resulting in noise.
Engine damage: Improper driving operations, such as frequently stepping on the accelerator in low gears or revving at high speeds in low gears, can cause significant damage to the engine, affecting its performance and generating noise.
Loosening of screws: Loosening of a screw in the engine or exhaust pipe, as well as loosening of plastic parts in the engine compartment, improper tightness of belts, aging of claw pads, etc., can all lead to increased engine noise.
Transmission system issues:
Loose fasteners: Severe wear and excessive clearance of the vehicle's guide wheels and rollers, excessive clearance between the chain and chain plate pins, excessive clearance between the upper and lower locking pins of the fork and the crossbeam of the fork frame, as well as excessive clearance between the guide wheels, rollers and the door frame during collision and rolling, can all cause the forklift to produce loud noise during use.
Poor lubrication conditions: Insufficient lubrication of components in the transmission system can increase friction and wear, resulting in noise.
Hydraulic system issues:
Hydraulic pump noise: When air is mixed into the hydraulic pump, it is easy to form cavitation in its high-pressure area and propagate in the form of pressure waves, causing oil oscillation and cavitation noise.
Overflow valve noise: Overflow valves are prone to high-frequency noise, mainly due to the unstable performance of the pilot valve, that is, the high-frequency oscillation of the pressure in the front chamber of the pilot valve causes air vibration and generates noise.
Other component issues:
Tire issue: Improper tire pressure or severe wear may also cause noise during forklift operation.
Pipeline noise: Excessive bending of pipelines or loose fixing clamps may also cause vibration and noise.
