What precautions should be taken when using manual forklifts for oxen

When using a manual hydraulic forklift ("DiNiu"), the following safety operating procedures must be strictly followed to prevent the risk of accidents:

1、 Pre use safety check

Hydraulic system inspection

Confirm that there are no leaks in the hydraulic cylinder, that there is sufficient hydraulic oil, and that the pressurization and depressurization functions are normal.

Test control handle: press down, drag in the middle position, release pressure in the upper position, the action should be sensitive and not stuck.

Inspection of pulleys and casters

Check if the pulley device rotates flexibly and there are no foreign objects wrapped around it (such as ropes or packaging tapes).

Visually inspect the wear of the casters, replace damaged casters, and ensure that the wheel axles are securely fastened without any looseness.

Structural integrity check

Check for cracks or deformations in the forks, brackets, and welds to ensure that the installation brackets are not bent.

Confirm that the fork length is equal to or greater than the pallet length to avoid tipping over caused by single fork operation.

2、 Standard operating procedures

Suppressing lifting

Turn the control handle to the lower position and slowly press the directional handle to press down. Stop pressing immediately after the goods are off the ground.

Overloading is strictly prohibited: The weight of the goods must not exceed the rated load of the forklift (usually 1-5 tons, and the equipment nameplate needs to be checked).

Dragging goods

After the goods are lifted off the ground, adjust the handle to the center position and maintain a steady speed (speed ≤ 3 kilometers per hour).

Smooth operation: Avoid sudden acceleration/braking, slow down when turning and observe the surrounding environment.

Unloading and Placement

After arriving at the destination, turn the handle to the upper position to relieve pressure, and wait for the goods to land smoothly before pulling out the fork.

No high-altitude throwing: It is strictly prohibited to throw goods from a height onto a forklift.

Empty vehicle operation

When the vehicle is empty, press and lift the fork appropriately to avoid friction and wear between the front axle support frame and the ground.

3、 Key safety precautions

Single person operation principle

Only one person is allowed to operate, and when multiple people collaborate, a designated person in charge must be designated to give unified command to avoid action conflicts.

Load stability requirements

The goods need to be completely placed under the shelf, balanced before being transported.

Prohibit off load/single fork operation: The fork must be fully inserted into the pallet and the weight distribution of the goods must be even.

Support for loose goods: When loading unstable or loosely packaged goods, personnel need to be arranged for support.

Body part protection

It is strictly prohibited to place any part of the body near mechanical lifting components, on goods, or under forks during operation.

Clear line of sight: If the line of sight is obstructed (such as the goods being too high), adjust the height of the goods or seek assistance before proceeding with the operation.

Special scene taboos

Prohibited slope operation: It is strictly prohibited to use on inclined slopes or steep slopes; If it is necessary to use, the operator should stand on the side of the forklift to prevent inertia from losing control.

No manned sliding: Forklifts are strictly prohibited from carrying people or freely sliding on landslides.

Ground condition restrictions: Avoid using on muddy or uneven ground to prevent slipping or overturning.

Overload management

Prohibit long-term static overloading: After overloading, it is necessary to transport or relieve the pressure as soon as possible to avoid excessive pressure in the hydraulic system.

Principle of high load and low load: When handling large and heavy goods, the forks should be lowered as much as possible to lower the center of gravity.

4、 Maintenance and upkeep requirements

Regular lubrication

Add lubricating oil to friction parts such as axles, seals, and roller bearings every week to reduce wear.

Fastener inspection

Check the axle nuts and bracket welds monthly for looseness or damage, and promptly tighten or replace them.

Scrap and repair

Damaged equipment must be immediately stopped, repaired or scrapped by professional personnel, and "working with illness" is strictly prohibited.

5、 Skills for improving operational efficiency

Two handed operation: Control the handle with both hands to improve operational stability.

Path planning: Reasonably plan the stacking and handling path of goods to reduce the distance of empty driving.

Load optimization: Prioritize the handling of moderately heavy goods to avoid frequent overloading or handling of light items.
