Before using a hydraulic forklift, a comprehensive inspection of the following key items is required to ensure safe and efficient operation of the equipment, including appearance, hydraulic system, safety devices, operating components, and operating environment:

1、 Appearance and structural inspection

Vehicle integrity:

Check whether there are obvious deformations, cracks, or welding cracks on the vehicle body, especially on load-bearing components such as forks, door frames, and frames.

Confirm that the forks are not bent, twisted, or excessively worn, and that the thickness of the forks meets safety standards (usually not less than 90% of the original thickness).

Check the wear of the tires to ensure that the tread depth is sufficient and there are no cuts, bulges, or foreign objects embedded.

Tightness of connectors:

Check all bolts and nuts for looseness, especially the critical parts such as the fork and door frame connection, wheel axle, etc.

Confirm that the tension of the chain is moderate, without any breakage or excessive stretching.

2、 Hydraulic system inspection

Hydraulic oil status:

Check if the hydraulic oil level is within the specified range (usually between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick).

Observe the color of the oil. If it turns black, cloudy, or has an odor, it should be replaced immediately.

Check for oil leaks in the oil pipes and joints to ensure good sealing of the hydraulic system.

Hydraulic pump and cylinder:

After starting the forklift, slowly operate the fork lift and check if the hydraulic pump works smoothly without any abnormal noise or vibration.

Confirm that there are no scratches or corrosion on the surface of the oil cylinder piston rod, and that the expansion and contraction are smooth without any jamming.

3、 Safety device inspection

Braking system:

Test the parking brake and service brake to ensure that the braking is sensitive and reliable, without any deviation or drag.

Check the brake fluid level (if applicable) to ensure it is within the normal range.

Limit device:

Confirm that the fork lift limit switch is functioning properly to prevent excessive lifting or lowering of the fork.

Check the tilt limit device of the gantry to ensure that the tilt angle of the gantry is within a safe range.

Warning device:

Test warning devices such as horns, turn signals, and reverse buzzers to ensure clear sound and normal lighting.

Check if the reflector is intact and the field of view is clear.

4、 Inspection of operating components

Control lever and pedal:

Check whether the control lever (such as fork lift, gantry tilt, forward/backward) is flexible, without jamming or looseness.

Test whether the accelerator pedal and brake pedal travel is appropriate, and whether the return spring function is normal.

Instruments and indicator lights:

After starting the forklift, observe whether the dashboard displays normally (such as voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, etc.).

Confirm that all indicator lights (such as charging indicator light, oil pressure alarm light) are not lit abnormally.

5、 Run environment check

Homework site:

Ensure that the work area is flat, obstacle free, and the slope does not exceed the allowable range of the forklift (usually ≤ 5%).

Check if the width of the work channel meets the minimum turning radius requirement for forklifts.

Goods and loads:

Confirm that the weight of the goods does not exceed the rated load of the forklift and the center of gravity is stable.

Check if the goods are securely tied to prevent slipping during transportation.

6、 Other specialized inspections

Battery status (electric forklift):

Check the electrolyte level of the battery to ensure it is within the normal range.

Confirm that the battery connection cable is not loose or corroded, and that the charging interface is clean.

Fuel system (internal combustion forklift):

Check the fuel level in the fuel tank to ensure it is sufficient.

Check if there is any oil leakage in the fuel pipeline and if the fuel filter is clogged.

Chain and sprocket:

Check the lubrication condition of the chain to ensure that the tension of the chain is appropriate.

Confirm that the sprocket teeth are not worn or broken.
