To do a good job in the maintenance and upkeep of manual hydraulic forklifts, it is necessary to start from four aspects: daily inspection, regular maintenance, fault handling, and operating standards. The following are specific measures:
1、 Daily check: prevent problems before they happen
Hydraulic system inspection
Hydraulic cylinder leakage: Before use, check if there is any oil leakage in the hydraulic cylinder. If any leakage is found, stop using it immediately and replace the seal.
Oil level and exhaust: Check the hydraulic oil level every 6 months to ensure that the oil level is below 5mm above the rubber container liquid level. If there is air in the hydraulic oil, it needs to be vented through "air tapping" (repeatedly swinging the handle) to avoid weak lifting of the fork.
Oil cleaning: Regularly replace hydraulic oil to prevent impurities from entering the system and causing valve body wear or oil passage blockage.
Wheel and steering system
Wear inspection: visually inspect the wear of the wheels, replace damaged wheels to avoid grinding the wheel frame or exposing the wheel axle.
Foreign object cleaning: Remove cotton threads, cloth strips, and other entanglements around the wheels to prevent steering jamming.
Lubrication and maintenance: Add lubricating oil (such as butter) to friction parts such as axles and bearings every month to reduce wear and maintain flexible rotation.
Structural components and fasteners
Bracket and weld: Check whether the frame and support plate are damaged or bent, and tighten loose axles and nuts.
Fork integrity: Regularly check the symmetry, straightness, and fork arm height adjustment function of the fork to avoid operational risks caused by deformation.
2、 Regular maintenance: Extend service life
Lubrication and fastening
Lubrication cycle: Add lubricating oil to the axle, sealing ring, roller bearing and other parts every month to reduce friction and prevent jamming.
Fastener inspection: Check and tighten all nuts and bolts every six months to prevent oil leakage or structural damage caused by looseness.
Filter element and oil replacement
Filter replacement: Replace the hydraulic filter every 500 hours to prevent impurities from entering the system. If working at high temperatures for a long time, it is necessary to replace it in advance.
Oil replacement: Replace hydraulic oil and filter element every 1000 hours, clean hydraulic oil tank and filter. The oil change cycle needs to be shortened in high temperature environments.
Deep maintenance
Overhaul cycle: The hydraulic motor and hydraulic pump need to be overhauled after 10000 hours of operation, and the hydraulic system parameters should be adjusted by professionals.
Seal replacement: When replacing the seal, it is necessary to use "air flushing" to eliminate air and prevent system failure.
3、 Fault handling: Quickly restore performance
Forks cannot be lifted or lowered
Reason: Insufficient hydraulic oil, air ingress, aging seals, or damaged valve body.
Solution: Supplement hydraulic oil, exhaust, replace seals or valve body repair kit, adjust the pressure regulating valve.
Forks automatically descend
Reason: The pressure relief valve is not properly adjusted, there are impurities in the hydraulic oil, or the safety valve spring is malfunctioning.
Solution: Adjust the pressure relief valve, replace the clean hydraulic oil or spring, and use the adjustment screw to set the system pressure to 14Mpa.
Abnormal wheel rotation
Reason: Loose wheel axle, damaged bearings, or foreign object entanglement.
Solution: Tighten the wheel axle, replace bearings or clean foreign objects to ensure smooth rotation of the wheel.
4、 Operation standard: Reduce human losses
Load limit
Overloading, unbalanced loading, or single fork operation are strictly prohibited. The weight of the goods must be within the carrying range of the forklift, and the length of the fork must cover the pallet.
Smooth operation
When pressing and lifting goods, the control handle should be operated slowly; When pulling goods, the speed should not exceed 3km/h, and slow down when turning.
When the empty vehicle is running, the lifting fork should be appropriately pressed to avoid wear and tear on the front axle support frame from contact with the ground.
Environment and Safety
Do not operate on inclined slopes, steep slopes, or muddy ground to avoid working when the line of sight is obstructed.
During operation, keep body parts away from mechanical lifting components, cargo, and under forks to prevent accidental injury.
Parking and Storage
When parking, lower the forks to the lowest position and store them in a designated dry and ventilated area to avoid corrosion caused by long-term exposure to sunlight and rain.
