How to set the various times of the running electric hoist

When setting various time parameters for the running electric hoist, precise adjustments should be made according to the equipment characteristics and operational requirements. The following are the methods and precautions for setting key time parameters:

1、 Start time parameter setting

Start delay (t2)

Definition: The interval time between receiving the operation control signal from the frequency converter and starting the motor.

Function: To prevent on-site operators from directly switching the lifting mechanism from static to quick start, reducing load impact and shaking.

Setting method: Adjust the frequency converter parameters (such as P820), with a typical value of 0.5-2 seconds, and optimize based on load inertia and equipment response speed.

Pre magnetization time (t3)

Definition: The time from the end of the startup delay to the start of magnetic field orientation control within the frequency converter.

Function: Ensure the stable establishment of the motor magnetic field and prevent "hook slipping" during startup.

Setting method: Adjust the frequency converter parameters (such as P821), with a typical value of 0.1-0.5 seconds, to match the motor characteristics.

2、 Run time parameter settings

Acceleration time (Pr.9)

Definition: The time required for a motor to accelerate from a standstill to its rated speed.

Function: Control the smoothness of the acceleration process and avoid mechanical impact.

Setting method: By adjusting the parameters of the frequency converter, it is necessary to optimize according to the load weight and lifting height. For example, light load can shorten acceleration time (such as 2-3 seconds), while heavy load needs to be extended (such as 5-8 seconds).

Deceleration time (Pr.10)

Definition: The time required for a motor to decelerate from its rated speed to stop.

Function: To prevent the load from shaking or "slipping" due to excessive deceleration.

Setting method: Adjust the parameters of the frequency converter to match the acceleration time. For example, light load can shorten the deceleration time (such as 2-3 seconds), while heavy load needs to be extended (such as 5-8 seconds).

Speed limit value (Pr.8)

Definition: The maximum speed limit during motor operation.

Function: To prevent overspeed operation and ensure safety.

Setting method: Adjust according to the rated speed and actual needs of the device, usually set to 90% -100% of the rated speed.

3、 Braking time parameter setting

Demagnetization time (t4)

Definition: The time for the frequency converter to continue outputting PWM signals after the control operation signal is turned off.

Function: Ensure the complete disappearance of the motor magnetic field and avoid the generation of reverse torque during braking.

Setting method: Adjust the parameters of the frequency converter, with a typical value of 0.5-1 second, to match the characteristics of the motor.

Braking time (ts)

Definition: The time from the start of the motor mechanical brake to complete stop.

Function: Ensure that the load is fixed during deceleration and braking to prevent "hook slipping".

Setting method: Adjust the parameters of the frequency converter and coordinate with the deceleration ramp time. For example, the braking time can be set to 50% -80% of the deceleration time.

Deceleration ramp time

Definition: The ramp time for a motor to decelerate from its rated speed to a stop.

Function: Control the smoothness of the deceleration process and reduce mechanical impact.

Setting method: Adjust the parameters of the frequency converter to match the braking time. For example, the deceleration ramp time can be set to 1.2-1.5 times the deceleration time.

4、 Other time parameter settings

Software travel limit time

Definition: The triggering time of the travel limit set by software.

Function: To prevent the hook from exceeding the safe range and avoid collisions.

Setting method: Adjust through the parameters of the frequency converter (such as Pr.12, Pr.13), and calculate based on the actual lifting height and drum size. For example, the limit time can be set to trigger 0.5-1 second before the hook reaches the limit position.

Origin reset time

Definition: The time required for a device to return to its origin from any position.

Function: Ensure equipment positioning accuracy and facilitate automation control.

Setting method: Adjust the parameters through PLC or frequency converter, and optimize according to the mechanical structure and motor characteristics. For example, the origin reset time can be set to 1.1-1.2 times the time required for the mechanical structure to move to the origin.

5、 Setting precautions

Parameter matching

All time parameters must be matched with motor characteristics, load weight, and lifting height to avoid parameter conflicts that may cause equipment failure.

dynamic adjustment

Dynamically adjust the time parameters based on actual operating conditions (such as load changes, ambient temperature) to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.

Security redundancy

Set safety redundancy in key time parameters such as braking time and limit time to prevent accidents from occurring.

Professional debugging

The setting of time parameters should be operated by professionals to avoid unauthorized personnel modifying and causing equipment damage or safety accidents.
