The electric hoist in operation drives the reducer and drum through an electric motor to achieve precise lifting control of the steel wire rope. The core time parameter settings need to be developed around lifting, operation, braking, and safety protection. The specific instructions are as follows:
1、 Principle of setting core time parameters
The time parameter setting of the electric hoist should be based on its working principle: after the motor is powered on, the speed is reduced and the torque is increased through the reducer, driving the drum to rotate and driving the steel wire rope to achieve the lifting and lowering of the hook. In the control system, time parameters are adjusted through frequency converters or PLCs to ensure smooth connection of various actions and avoid mechanical shocks and safety accidents.
2、 Method for setting key time parameters
Acceleration time (Pr.9)
Definition: The time required for a motor to accelerate from a standstill to its rated speed.
Function: Control the smoothness of the acceleration process and prevent load shaking.
Setting method:
Light load (such as ≤ 50% rated load): can shorten acceleration time to 2-3 seconds and improve efficiency.
Heavy load (such as ≥ 80% rated load): The acceleration time needs to be extended to 5-8 seconds to reduce mechanical impact.
Example: When lifting a load of 1 ton, the acceleration time is set to 5 seconds; When lifting a load of 3 tons, set it to 8 seconds.
Deceleration time (Pr.10)
Definition: The time required for a motor to decelerate from its rated speed to a stop.
Function: To prevent the load from slipping or causing mechanical damage due to excessive deceleration.
Setting method:
Light load: The deceleration time can be set to 2-3 seconds.
Heavy load: It needs to be extended to 5-8 seconds to ensure smooth braking.
Example: When reducing a load of 1 ton, the deceleration time is set to 5 seconds; When reducing the load by 3 tons, set it to 8 seconds.
Braking time (ts)
Definition: The time from the start of the motor mechanical brake to complete stop.
Function: Ensure that the load is fixed during deceleration and braking to prevent "hook slipping".
Setting method:
The braking time needs to match the deceleration time, usually 50% -80% of the deceleration time.
Example: When the deceleration time is set to 8 seconds, the braking time can be set to 4-6 seconds.
Demagnetization time (t4)
Definition: The time for the frequency converter to continue outputting PWM signals after the control signal is turned off.
Function: Ensure the complete disappearance of the motor magnetic field and avoid the generation of reverse torque during braking.
Setting method:
The typical value is 0.5-1 second, which needs to be matched with the characteristics of the motor.
Example: When the motor power is 5kW, the demagnetization time is set to 0.8 seconds.
Software travel limit time
Definition: The triggering time of the travel limit set by software.
Function: To prevent the hook from exceeding the safe range and avoid collisions.
Setting method:
According to the actual lifting height and drum size calculation, it is usually set to trigger 0.5-1 second before the hook reaches the limit position.
Example: When the lifting height is 20 meters, the limit time is set to trigger when the hook is 1 meter away from the limit position.
3、 Precautions for setting time parameters
Parameter matching
All time parameters must be matched with motor characteristics, load weight, and lifting height to avoid parameter conflicts that may cause equipment failure.
Example: Short acceleration time may cause motor overload, while long deceleration time may prolong the operating cycle.
dynamic adjustment
Dynamically adjust the time parameters based on actual operating conditions (such as load changes, ambient temperature) to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
Example: In high temperature environments, the heat dissipation of the motor deteriorates, and it is necessary to extend the deceleration time appropriately to reduce heat generation.
Security redundancy
Set safety redundancy in key time parameters such as braking time and limit time to prevent accidents from occurring.
Example: The limit time can be triggered 0.2 seconds in advance to ensure that the hook stops before the limit position.
Professional debugging
The setting of time parameters should be operated by professionals to avoid unauthorized personnel modifying and causing equipment damage or safety accidents.
Example: Before debugging, it is necessary to conduct no-load and load tests to verify the rationality of parameters.
