What are the reasons for the deviation of the running manual hoist equipment during walking

The deviation of the manual hoist during walking may be caused by factors such as track system problems, abnormal wheel sets, drive system failures, improper equipment installation and maintenance, and improper operation. The following is a specific analysis:

1、 Track system issues

Poor quality of track installation: Parameters such as track span and elevation difference do not meet the requirements, which can cause uneven resistance to the hoist during its movement, leading to displacement. For example, if the span of the track is too large or too small, it will cause the gourd to generate lateral force while walking, resulting in deviation.

Poor quality of track joints: Uneven, misaligned or excessively large gaps in track joints can cause impact and vibration when the hoist passes through the joints, thereby affecting its walking stability and leading to displacement.

2、 Abnormal wheel assembly

The difference in wheel diameter size is significant: If the diameter difference between the wheels of the same hoist (especially on both sides) is significant, it will cause different linear velocities on the left and right sides, resulting in a speed difference during operation, which can cause the vehicle to tilt, run off track, or even gnaw on the track (i.e., friction between the wheel rim and the track). Long term operation will exacerbate the wear of the track and wheels, further worsening the offset problem.

Poor wheel assembly accuracy: If there are three legs (i.e. three wheels in contact with the track and one wheel suspended) or the active wheel pressure is too small or suspended during wheel assembly, it will cause uneven force on the hoist during walking, resulting in deviation.

Improper clearance between wheels and tracks: Excessive or insufficient clearance between wheels and tracks can affect the walking stability of the hoist. Excessive side clearance may cause the gourd to sway during movement, while insufficient side clearance may increase frictional resistance, leading to difficulty or deviation in the movement of the gourd.

3、 Drive system malfunction

Brake system failure: If the brake clearance is too large or the brake ring has reached its limit of wear and has not been replaced, it will cause the hoist to be unable to effectively stop during braking, resulting in displacement. In addition, the significant difference in brake clearance between the brake motors may also cause the hoist to experience asynchronous, twisting, lateral sliding, and other phenomena during starting and braking.

Motor failure: For electric hoists, motor failure (such as excessive internal leakage, inconsistent speed, etc.) may also cause the hoist to move and deviate. For example, if there is too much leakage in the right motor, the volumetric efficiency will decrease, which will cause the right motor speed to be lower than the left motor, resulting in both forward and backward movements deviating to the right.

4、 Improper installation and maintenance of equipment

Installation deviation: Deviations in the design of the buffer for the hoist trolley, or the hoist not being kept level during installation, may cause it to lose directionality during operation, resulting in collisions and offsets between gears.

Insufficient maintenance: Failure to maintain and upkeep the manual hoist for a long time may lead to internal parts rusting, jamming, or increased wear, which in turn affects its walking stability. For example, if the chain is worn out and not replaced in a timely manner, or if the gears are stuck with foreign objects or damaged and not cleaned, it may cause the hoist to move off course.

5、 Improper operation

Overloading use: Overloading the manual hoist can cause structural deformation or trigger safety devices, thereby affecting its walking stability. Although overloading usually does not directly cause trajectory deviation and track gnawing, long-term overloading use can exacerbate equipment wear and aging, indirectly leading to offset problems.

Diagonal suspension: During operation, diagonal suspension can cause the lifting trajectory to deviate, thereby affecting the walking stability of the hoist. In addition, diagonal bracing and hoisting may also cause problems such as rope guide deviation and limit device failure, further exacerbating the risk of hoist walking deviation.
